Kitchen Design

Ok. I've gone through all my magazine clippings and books and spent the morning designing our kitchen (don't tell my boss)! Here's what it's going to look like, I hope. I still need to confirm some measurements and tweak a few things, but I think this is pretty close. The colors aren't exact, but they're an idea (I didn't feel like trying figure out the ideal colors in photoshop).

Stove, hood, and cabinets.

Apron sink, dishwasher, and cabinets.

Fridge, cabinets, and flour bin (bottom cabinet).

lovely. i was going to suggest maximizing cupboard space up to the ceiling given the small room space, but looks like you already did. and mini cupboards above the fridge... is that a small homage to our hollister house? it reminds me of it anyway. love the green color... my favorite kitchen from your previous post was the 2nd one down... country-ish and full of light. and the tiles behind the sink!

Ha, Amy. I guess it is a homage to Hollister. I actually think it was Moms suggestion. And I think I need to find a new sink though. The Ikea might be too deep for the space. It would stick out 4 inches from the side of the counter. Bummer.

can't wait to see this house in person. I was at an antique shop this past week and found the cutest old bread box. I loved it so much i took a picture of it hoping one of the carters would be interested. the box is a perfect green with a glass knob. Looks like i know who the know owner will be! I'll show you a picture this weekend!

I thought we agreed you were going to rip out the wall between the kitchen and the living room ;-)
