Annoying City Codes

Today we got a notice saying that we had to remove the "couch" from our front porch by September 25, or be fined $250.00!! And by couch, I mean a wood framed futon-like love seat with removable cushions. Apparently, if it's not actually designated as outdoor furniture, it can't be out there. It's not as if we have an actual cushy couch out there! I totally understand if they don't want junky old couches laying around, but I actually put it out there because I like it and think it looks good! Besides, it's a covered, partially enclosed porch, so it's not going to get rained on. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if I can leave it out there if I buy some designated outdoor cushions for it. I mean, really, it's not much different than wicker lawn furniture with a cushion on it! Uugh.

The guilty party. It's not a great picture, but it really does look cute and cozy.

That is annoying. I can understand if it looked like a big ghetto couch on your porch, but that's more like patio furniture.

Yeah, and what's even more annoying is that the dude who gave us a ticket is out of town til the 22nd, so I couldn't even complain to anyone! He better return my call as soon as he gets back.
